About the Artist

Patricia Garrett worked from her Berkeley, California studio from 1980 until the permanent closure of her Great Impressions studio in 2003. Over more than two decades, she earned a devoted following among collectors of American studio ceramics for her uncanny ability to translate the textures, colors, and forms of the botanical world into fired clay. Her work — never mass-produced, always signed — occupies a singular place in the canon of California craft. Today, authentic Garrett pieces are increasingly difficult to source and are prized by serious collectors.

Large Lidded Squash / Gourd Vessel: A commanding presence with a deep, richly glazed green exterior and an organically sculpted stem handle. There is a very small scratch on the standing gourd — please refer to photos.

Lidded Cabbage & Lettuce Leaf Bowl: Intricately rendered with layered veining and softly ruffled leaf edges — a testament to Garrett's extraordinary attention to botanical detail.

Open Butternut Squash Serving Dish: Shaped with the gentle asymmetry of a ripe squash, complete with a realistically sculpted tan stem. Retains its original paper studio tags.
