A rare and exceptional find sourced from a clean local estate — two pristine mid-century 10-inch pressings from London Records’ celebrated Origins of Jazz archival series, chronicling the landmark 1924 recording sessions of legendary cornetist Bix Beiderbecke. Exceptionally well-preserved and offered together as a matched pair, this bundle is a genuine collector’s opportunity.

About Bix Beiderbecke

Leon Bismarck “Bix” Beiderbecke (1903–1931) remains one of the most luminous and tragic figures in jazz history. A self-taught cornetist from Davenport, Iowa, Beiderbecke possessed a tone so pure and lyrical that Louis Armstrong himself called it “the most beautiful sound I ever heard in my life.” His 1924 sessions with The Wolverines — recorded when he was just 21 years old — are widely regarded as foundational documents of early jazz, capturing a voice that was wholly original and heartbreakingly brief.
